What’s in a voice?
What’s common between Angelina Jolie, Catherine-Zeta Jones, Megan Fox, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif? All these leggy beauties have had their voices dubbed by Mona Ghosh, one of the most popular voiceover artistes of the Indian film industry today.

With over 20 years in this business,
this young lady has already dubbed for over a 100 films, lending her voice to everybody from Kajol to Bipasha Basu and Ameesha Patel to Nargis Fakhri.
“This is a talent-dependant profession, and I am lucky to have learnt on the job while watching my mother (Leela Ghosh) in the dubbing studios,” she says rather modestly.
Today a name to reckon with, Ghosh once, like many others harboured acting ambitions but when things fell in place, she instantly took to it and soon found her calling. “It is similar to acting. You need a proficiency in languages, a certain voice quality, ability to emote and adapt your voice to various body languages,” she points out.
